Safe Bites is a mobile application that delivers HACCP Level 1 and Level 2 food safety training to food service workers in Ireland. Available on iOS and Android, it replaces dry classroom sessions with an engaging, self-paced experience that staff can complete on their own phone — typically in under one hour per level.

The app was created by Mustafa Salman Ahmed, a Michelin-trained chef, to reflect how food safety actually works in a busy commercial kitchen. Safe Bites is aligned with I.S. 340:2007, the Irish standard for food safety and hygiene in the food industry.

Learners progress through concise reading material, instructional videos, interactive food safety games, and quiz questions. On completion, they receive a digital HACCP certificate that can be presented during Environmental Health Officer (EHO) inspections.

Safe Bites is built for anyone working in food service in Ireland — from kitchen porters and line cooks to head chefs, supervisors, and restaurant owners. It is particularly suited to:
